INDUSTRIAL VISIT 2026

The Department of Commerce at Loyola Degree College, in association with the Commerce and Management Association, successfully organized an industrial visit for the final-year students on March 10th and 11th. The visit to Nandhini Dairy provided students with valuable practical exposure to the functioning of a large-scale dairy industry.

During the visit, students were introduced to the various stages involved in milk processing, including procurement, quality testing, pasteurization, packaging, and distribution. The officials at the dairy explained how strict quality control measures are maintained to ensure hygiene and safety standards. Students also learned about supply chain management and the efficient distribution network that enables Nandhini products to reach consumers across the state.

The visit offered insights into the organizational structure and management practices followed in the dairy industry. Students gained a better understanding of inventory management, cold storage systems, and the use of technology in maintaining product quality. The interaction with industry experts allowed students to clarify their doubts and connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practices.

Overall, the industrial visit was an enriching and informative experience. It helped students develop a more profound understanding of industrial operations and enhanced their interest in the field of commerce and management. Such initiatives play a crucial role in bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical application, preparing students for future professional challenges.
