JAGRUTHI 2025 – Constitution Day
On December 5th, the Department of Political Science, Loyola Degree College, organized JAGRUTHI 2025 – Constitution Day with great solemnity and academic spirit. The program was aimed at creating awareness among students about the values, principles, and significance of the Indian Constitution, which forms the foundation of India’s democratic framework.
The event was graced by Dr. Pauline Priya, Principal of St. Joseph’s College of Law, who served as the Chief Guest. In her insightful address, Dr. Pauline Priya highlighted the importance of constitutional values such as justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in contemporary society. She emphasized the role of young citizens in upholding constitutional morality and protecting democratic institutions. Drawing from her legal experience, she encouraged students to be aware of their fundamental rights and duties and to actively participate in nation-building.
The program included meaningful activities such as the reading of the Preamble, student reflections on constitutional ideals, and discussions on the relevance of the Constitution in everyday life. These activities helped students develop a deeper understanding of civic responsibility and democratic participation.
JAGRUTHI 2025 successfully reinforced constitutional awareness among students and inspired them to become informed, responsible, and committed citizens. The event concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the spirit of the Constitution in both personal and public life.
