Online Webinar- Navigating the Post-Truth Landscape: Critical Thinking and Information Literacy”

Loyola Degree College, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized a three-day online webinar titled “Navigating the Post-Truth Landscape: Critical Thinking and Information Literacy” from March 11 to 13, 2026. The webinar aimed to address the growing challenges of misinformation, fake news, and the erosion of objective truth in the digital age.

The sessions brought together eminent academicians, media experts, and researchers who shared valuable insights on the concept of the “post-truth” era, where emotions and personal beliefs often overshadow facts. The speakers emphasized the importance of critical thinking as a vital skill for students and educators to analyze information, question sources, and make informed decisions.

Each day focused on different dimensions of the theme, including identifying misinformation, understanding media bias, and developing information literacy skills.
