Independence Day Celebration – 2025
On 15th August 2025, Loyola Degree College joyfully celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, which instilled a sense of pride and unity among the gathering. Mr. Harsha Vardhan Umre, Retired Indian Revenue Service Officer, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he highlighted the importance of freedom, the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, and the role of youth in shaping the future of the nation.
The event also showcased a variety of cultural programmes organized by the college associations. The National Service Scheme (NSS), Sports Association, Rovers and Rangers, and the Human Rights and Red Cross Associations presented patriotic songs, dances, skits, and mime performances that reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity, and diversity. Students enthusiastically participated, displaying their talents while spreading the message of responsibility and nation-building.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by the distribution of sweets to all students and staff. The entire programme created an atmosphere of pride and reminded everyone of their duty towards the nation and society.
