IGNATIUS FEAST
Loyola Degree College in association with AICUF celebrated the feast of St Ignatius of Loyola
on 28 th July, 2023. The day started with the Holy Eucharistic celebration at Mount St Joseph
Chapel. Rev Fr Antony Joseph SJ was the main celebrant. On the same day, the Valedictory
programme was conducted in the college quadrangle. The programme began with a prayer song
lead by AICUF members. The chief guest of the event was Fr William Siqueira SJ who
highlighted the Ignatian principles that changed the world and lives of many. He motivated and
encouraged the students to embark on the spirit that St Ignatius had nurtured throughout his life.
Fr Principal Alphonse Fernandes SJ honoured him with a token of appreciation.
Prizes were distributed to the winners of a month-long event which had been conducted by the
AICUF team, in total 16 events like face painting, drawing/sketching, painting, quiz, essay
writing, reel making, collage making, singing and dancing were conducted as part of
Loyolotsava.
Launching of the new college website was undertaken by the chief guest in the presence of
dignitaries, staff and students.
Fr Dr Alphonse Fernandes SJ congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts put by the
AICUF members and staff to make all the events memorable and meaningful.
At the end of the programme, Fr Pratap Chandru SJ delivered the vote of thanks and thanked the
students, staff and people associated with Loyolotsava for making it a successful one.
Fr William Siqueira SJ, Dr Alphonse Fernandes SJ (Principal), Dr Vincent A (Vice-Principal) Fr
Pratap Chandru SJ (Campus Minister) Mr Dalu Jose (AICUF Coordinator) and Ms Annie
(AICUF Coordinator) were present in the event.
