CELEBRATION OF JAGRUTHI 23 AND KANNADA RAJYOTSAVA 2023
Department of Political Science, Mahatma Gandhi Study Center, Kannada Sangha, Dr. B R Ambedkar Study Center in association with IQAC conducted a week-long program on Constitution Week called Jagruti from 15th November to 28th November 2023. More than 170 students actively participated in this week-long program. The valedictory program of Jagruthi and Kannada Rajyotsava took place on 6th December 2023. The Chief Guest for the program was Dr. Vasundhara Bhupathi, former President of Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara and Kannada Lekhakiyara Sangha. She spoke on the values of the Constitution and its presence in today's life. The program was concluded with the presidential address by Fr. Dr Alphonse Fernandes SJ.

Constitution Week, observed to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution, is a time to reflect upon the principles that guide our nation. It reminds us of the values of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and fraternity that forms the bedrock of our Constitution.

Simultaneously, Kannada Rajyostava adds a regional touch to our celebration as it marks the formation of the state of Karnataka. It is the day to rejoice in the rich cultural heritage and progress that define our beloved Karnataka.
